A native of Mariveles, Bataan, Lilia Reuter displayed exceptional paddling skills and won four gold medals and one silver at the 2024 International Canoe Federation (ICF) Dragon Boat World Championship, held from October 31 to November 3 in Puerto Princesa City.

Reuter brought home medals across multiple categories: 40+ Mixed Standard Boat 500m, 40+ Women’s Standard Boat 2000m, 40+ 10-Woman 200m, 40+ 20-Person 500m events, and 40+ 20-Person Women’s 2000m events.

As a Bataeña paddler, Reuter’s accomplishments bring pride not only to Mariveles but to the entire province of Bataan. Her achievements demonstrate remarkable strength, determination, and competitive spirit, reflecting the dedication of the Philippine paddling community on the world stage.
